The term cryptocurrency is derived from cryptography, which means the encryption of information. All data about the owner, transactions are not stored in a central location like banks, but on thousands of servers, which makes cryptocurrencies counterfeit-proof. Bitcoin & Co have a maximum amount, unlike conventional fiat currencies, which ensures that they are not affected by inflation. Some cryptocurrencies burn a certain amount of transactions, making them even deflationary.

On the Trade button you can select different types of trades, the simplest and most common is spot trading. With this you look for a currency pair which is to be traded and select your order type. Market order, limit order, stop-limit order or trigger order are offered here, what these are exactly can be found below. Once the order type and amount have been selected, the order can be placed.
